A name and a phone number.

What this site collects

One thing: whatever you type into the call-back form on the booking page. That is your name, your phone number, what you are after, and the best time to reach you. Nothing else on this site asks you for anything.

We ask for those four things because we need them to ring you back. We do not ask for an address, a date of birth, or a payment detail, and you should be suspicious of any salon website that does.

You never have to use the form. Calling or texting Sandra or Heather, or walking in the door on 7th Avenue, involves no website at all.

What happens to it

The form is handled by a service called FormSubmit, which takes what you typed and emails it straight to the salon. It lands in the salon's email inbox and it is read by Sandra and Heather. It is used for one thing, which is calling you back about an appointment.

It is not sold, not shared with anyone else, and not added to a mailing list. There is no mailing list. Once we have spoken to you, the message stays in the inbox as an ordinary email until it is deleted, in the same way a voicemail would.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies of its own and shows no advertising. Visitor numbers are counted by Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not follow you between websites or build a profile of you.

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which keeps ordinary server logs, including IP addresses, for security and for keeping the site up. Every website on the internet has these.

The map on the booking page

The booking page shows a Google Map so you can see exactly where to come. That map is loaded from Google, and loading it means Google can see your IP address and may set its own cookies in your browser, under Google's privacy policy rather than ours. It is the only thing on this site that comes from another company's servers.

If you would rather not load it, the address is written out in plain text on that same page and in the footer of every page, and the "Get directions" link only goes to Google when you click it.

Photographs of clients

The before and after photos on this site are our own clients, and they are used with permission. If you are in one of them and would like it taken down, tell us and it comes down. You do not need to give a reason.

Having your hair photographed is never a condition of an appointment. If you would rather we did not, just say so in the chair.

Children

We cut children's hair, and we are glad to. This website is not aimed at children and the call-back form is meant to be filled in by an adult. We do not knowingly keep details submitted by a child.

Getting your details removed

Call the salon and ask, or email and ask. Whatever you sent gets deleted from the inbox. You do not need a reason and there is no form to fill in.

Under British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act you can also ask us what personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Ask on either number below and we will sort it out.

If this page changes

If we ever change what this site collects or who it goes to, we will change this page to say so. There is no version history to dig through, because the page says what is true today.
